i.e., α, ω-dihydroxy polydimethylsiloxane,is usually colorless transparent viscous liquid typically can be used as the base polymer of silicone rubberby reacting with crosslinking agent and catalyst at room temperature.The cured silicone rubber can keep elasticity for a long time during -60~200ºC. It is with excellent electrical properties and chemical stability, aging resistance, corrosion resistance, resistance to water and moisture, non-toxic, insulation, quake-proof, low shrinkage etc.
It is widely used in construction caulking, electronic components of insulation, shock-proof, moisture-proof, anti-corrosion, rubber products molding, mold release as well as leather slip agent and lubricating agent, etc.; it is also basic materials for  RTV-1, RTV-2; special specififi cations can be used for fabric fifi nishing and daily chemical industry.

The chemical name is αω,-dihydroxy polydimethylsiloxane, and the hydroxy silicone oil with a viscosity of 2500mpa.S or more is called 107 silicone rubber. In addition to the general properties of methyl silicone oil, this product also has the reactivity of hydroxyl. It can be used to make some new materials or cross-linked into elastomers (or membranes).

This product is a colorless and transparent liquid with excellent electrical insulation and high and low temperature resistance, high flash point, low freezing point, can be used for a long time under the condition of -50ºC~+250ºC, low viscosity-temperature coefficient, high compressibility, surface Low tension, good water and moisture resistance, chemical inertness and physiological inertness.

 

Dosage:
Generally used with curing agent to achieve cross-linking and curing. When used for release paper, it must be fixed with a coupling agent. Generally, the amount of curing agent accounts for 3 to 5% of the base gum, and the coupling agent accounts for 0.5 to 1 of the base gum. %. In most cases, the base gum is diluted 10 times with a solvent, and then the curing agent and coupling agent are added and mixed uniformly, then coated on the surface of the substrate, and cured at room temperature or by
heating. It takes more than 30 minutes at room temperature, and 30 seconds for heating at 120~150°C. No solvent is needed for sealant and mold gum base. Stir evenly after adding the curing agent (the curing agent is different for one-component and two-component), and it can be cured within 30 to 120 minutes after deaeration.

Precautions:
Do not mix with acid-base substances, alkoxysilanes and water vapor at high temperature, otherwise it will tend to solidify and change viscosity.
