Epoxy-terminated polyether silicone oil is a dual active organic silicon epoxy resin intermediate with epoxy groups and polyoxyethylene ether segments at both ends of the molecule, and a linear polysiloxane segment in the middle. Due to its epoxy group, it can undergo curing reactions with amine based curing agents and is used as an additive in epoxy resins. It is also an important intermediate for replacing epoxy-terminated silicone oil in block silicone oil synthesis.
