 Vinyltriacetoxysilane is an acetoxy silane which is more reactive than alkoxysilanes. It is mainly used as a crosslinker for moisture curing RTV silicone rubbers. It can be abbreviated as VTAS and treated as the equivalent of Dow Corning Z-6075.

Application

Applications

It is an important crosslinker for RTV silicone rubbers. It has faster moisture curing rate and better adhesion than CFS-343, Methyltriacethoxysilane.
 Can be also used as a coupling agent, an adhesion promoter in the synthesis of various organic silicone compounds.
 Can be used in micro and nanoparticle surface modification for inorganic fillers.

Storage
Should be stored in a cool, well-ventilated place, and avoid exposure to humidity.
Should be stored in its original containers and used up as soon as possible after opening.
When stored in a strictly sealed and unopened container, CFS-089 has a shelf life of 12months.
